Steve Hund Jr., owner and lineal descendant of Paxico's first German
founders, purchased a historic 1890's building in downtown Paxico to house
his collection of American and Victorian antiques. He continues to specialize in
the restoration of vintage wood and gas heating stoves and cook stoves.
Restoration involves disassembling the stoves, sandblasting them to remove
rust, locating or casting new pieces if needed, and nickel-plating the trim for the
final touch.
"The stoves remind people of a simpler time," says Hund. "People remember
going into grandma’s house and smelling apple pie baking in the wood
stove."
At Mill Creek Antiques we help to warm both hearts and homes with our
beautifully restored stoves and top notch service.
We are located 1 mile North off I-70 at Exit 333. Just follow the blacktop into
downtown Paxico and you can't miss us!
