Steve Hund Jr., owner and lineal descendant of Paxico's first German founders,
purchased a historic 1880's building in downtown Paxico to house his collection of
American and Victorian antiques. He continues to specialize in the restoration of vintage
wood and gas heating stoves and cook stoves.
During the restoration process we disassemble, reseal, clean and polish stoves and locate
original replacement parts or cast new pieces as needed. Then we nickel-plate the trim for
the final touch.
"The stoves remind people of a simpler time," says Hund. "People remember going into
grandma's house and smelling apple pie baking in the wood stove."
At Mill Creek Antiques we help to warm both hearts and homes with our beautifully
restored stoves and top notch service. We are located 1 mile off I-70 at either Exit 333 or
Exit 335. Just follow the blacktop into downtown Paxico and you can't miss us!
